Other Information

When I attempt to connect to ftpupload via filezilla, using the FTP account information provided in my InfinityFree account panel, I encounter the aforementioned error. I suspect this might be a server-side issue. Could you please provide more detailed information about this error, and advise when it is likely to be resolved?

Please provide full ftp logs

Looking at this first line, please make sure you type the full hostname ftpupload.net, not just ftpupload.

The second line indicates that the server could not be found, which can indeed by caused by using the wrong FTP hostname.

Thank you for your prompt response. I understand the hostname is ftpupload.net. Unfortunately, as a new member, I’m restricted to two links per message. However, I was able to successfully log into the service via FileZilla. Given your administrative role, I wanted to inquire if you are aware of any recent updates or modifications to the FTP service. My goal is to utilize the upgraded InfinityFree service for developing and managing websites specifically for an Italian audience. Do you foresee any challenges with this plan, considering the current management issues? I’m particularly drawn to InfinityFree due to its comprehensive features and the ability to manage multiple websites simultaneously, despite it being a free service.

FTP is generally not changed that often, no major changes recently that I know of.

Based on the very vague description that provided no information about how the website is built or visitor usage, I have absolutely no idea.

Not sure what you mean, can you elaborate?

Hi Greenreader, I apologize for not going into detail. I use a custom build of WordPress and everything works perfectly. However, for work reasons, I need to ensure service continuity. Currently, I use an Italian service for my clients, but the costs, including page design, make me uncompetitive. This offer is really convenient if I have to create many pages and use only one account for multiple sites. For this reason, InfinityFree’s service is very appealing and I would like to upgrade. However, this is the third time that the page has crashed or the service reports problems with the namespace of the support services for managing and modifying pages. The database always works, but the domain and FTP sometimes freeze for 1 or 2 days, and I cannot afford that. Therefore, my question is: is this a service that I can use professionally or should it only be used as a sandbox to show web page demos?

P.S: The use of the page clients is purely passive, meaning I create portfolios or pages where businesses introduce themselves, but without overly heavy applications. Occasionally, I might add an e-commerce platform, but nothing more than that.

Take note this is free hosting.

Please understand that we provide a free hosting service. We have no restrictions on commercial use, but please understand that we can’t provide enterprise level guarantees about stability and other things for a service which we give away for free.

I’m not sure what you mean by that. I’m not aware any hosting issues that could result in major parts of the platform being down for multiple days. I think I’d know if there were frequent outages that big.
