Transfer a domain

stolinassets.epizy.com

Anytime I go to transfer the domain (on the site builder that was suggested in the getting started article), the first period in the domain is automatically removed. So they don’t name name changes to this: stolinassetsepizy.com
And then it says: “This domain is currently not registered. Purchase this domain.”

Am I doing something wrong? How should I to get past this?

What site builder are you using?

Weebly

Weebly has their own hosting. You don’t need InfinityFree if you’re using Weebly.
And you definitely can’t use an InfinityFree subdomain on Weebly. You have to use their free sub-domains.

Oh okay. I don’t understand why they would specifically suggest using Weebly in the getting started article. Thank you.

Weebly is a page builder. You can export your site there by following method here: HTML code for each page on my website - Weebly Community

If you use the archive option on the bottom of the Settings tab, it will export the HTML of your pages along with images and other files you’ve uploaded. The only pages not included are blog pages and store pages.

I am not able to find weebly anywhere in getting started article on both infinityfree and on vPanel.

In which article did you find us recommending Weebly? I can’t find it in the Getting Started section in the control panel and I can’t find it in our knowledge base.

I’m not saying you’re wrong though. If there is a place I didn’t check, please do tell me so I can correct it.

Yeah, because it has since been removed. But not before I started building my website on Weebly which was about a week ago.

That’s strange. I definitely did not change anything.

In any case, Weebly can’t be used to build your site just anywhere. They provide their own web hosting first and foremost, so they are more of a competitor to InfinityFree than an addition. They do partner with hosting providers too, but they are not partnered with us.

So you are free to host your website with Weebly if you want. But you won’t be using InfinityFree that way, and we can’t help you build your site there.
