Error Message
“Thumbnail regeneration is running in the background. Depending on the amount of images in your store this may take a while.”
(please share the FULL error message you see, if applicable)
Other Information
Right now, I’m using “under construction” plugin and I delete then upload the images again for me to use for my header logo and site icon. After a while, this message, “Thumbnail regeneration is running in the background. Depending on the amount of images in your store this may take a while.”, pops up and stuck as that. While it’s stuck, my images (header logo and site icon) on the front end are not visible. I’m just new, and I’ll be thankful for any response.

What do you mean by “thumbnail generation”?
If it’s a WordPress plugin or something on your website that you installed, you should ask the creators of the tool/plugin.
If it’s not something InfinityFree (or cpanel) has, we probably can’t help you.
It’s “Thumbnail REgeneration”. I think it’s not about the plugins/tools or something I install. It’s about when I change/resize the images (e.g., featured images, product images, widgets, etc.) on the front end. The old images may no longer fit correctly, appear blurry, or even “fail to display” (this is exactly what happens). So, WordPress automatically regenerates thumbnails to ensure all images are resized according to the new requirements. But it is stuck on “Thumbnail regeneration is running in the background. Depending on the amount of images in your store this may take a while.”
Regardless of who or what actually caused it, the error message is generated by your website code. We are not experts on all software you could possibly host with us.
A quick Google search pointed me to this topic on the WordPress forum, which suggests that this message is coming from the WooCommerce plugin for WordPress:
This article from WooCommerce has more details about the thumbnail generation:
One part of this documentation worries me, which is this section:
This is because WP Background Processing relies on the WordPress HTTP API, which requires you to attach your BasicAuth credentials to requests.
It might be that this functionality is blocked by this security system:
If so, I’m not sure how this issue can be solved.
But to be clear, I’m not an expert on WooCommerce. I’m just telling you what I found through 5 minutes of Googling combined with my knowledge of our hosting.
