I used to login to this forum and it would stay logged in but the last few days I have had to login every day

Is this normal ? Thanks :heart:

Me and Meshin noticed this the other day:

I seem to remember admin saying he’d made some tweaks to how the signin cookie works… but I cant find that post…

I get logged out every time I close my phone browser. I have not tried it on my PCs, but I hope it’s not the same.

You might be write a userscript that automatically edit the cookie to last longer every time you open the forum, I only tried editing it manually and surprisingly it worked for about a week, so using a userscript to automate the process might be a viable way.

I don’t think a userscript would be able to edit the cookie without breaking security measures.

Correction, userscripts are able to edit cookies given that they are not HttpOnly.

Unfortunately I just checked, and the session cookies on this forum are HttpOnly, so one will need an actual browser extension to do it.

Of course you could use attacking/exploting techniques but why.
