This domain has been suspended for reaching server limits or similar

For a couple of months, it was fine, I was of course the only user/visitor to my site as I used it for testing and learning, then they slowed down my usage and say you have exceeded your resources, when I logged into the control panel, it showed I had not. I kept using it for another week, then I couldn’t log into or browse my own site or the control panel in my account. Only this page appears: ‘This domain has been suspended for reaching server limits or similar.’ now I can’t even get a backup of my work of 2 -3 months. Fake Free Hosting is a lie and a scam! Even if they say it’s free forever, it’s only free for a few months. USERS BEWARE.

Nice rage baiting, but I’ve used this hosting for years already.

Hello. If you have specific issues that needed to be address, it is best if you can create a separate topic and complete the template so someone can take a look at it. Judging on the recent posts here, there are others experiencing this as well. Based on my estimate this happened in the evening and before midnight (GMT) at least one reported having their site back already. If these issues are related, then this is just a temporary hiccup. It is unfortunate it happened in unholy hours.

Also note that there are recent changes (around this same time) in the File Manager to improve user experience, so this might be one of those down times.

In any event that the suspension you have is from a completely different reason, you can check My account is suspended, what can I do now

Please do note that InfinityFree is for web hosting webpages, it is not a personal computer in the cloud. We will never know that your motivation in using the system but there limits in place so we can serve equally others as well

I split your message off to a separate topic. The topic you responded to is just a notice to request to leave a review. It’s not the place to submit a review or discuss a problem with our hosting.

Here is what I wrote on TrustPilot as well:

So, to be clear:

  • I checked your account and it has never been suspended.
  • The timing of your post suggest that you saw this during the database upgrade from last night.
  • Our hosting is not time limited. We say very clearly on our website’s home page that it isn’t. Many people here can testify that there is no such limit. And if we did, we would clearly tell you before and after the fact and not suspend your account for a vague reason.
  • The whole outage lasted less than 30 minutes, and your website, your data and your access to it was fully restored.
