All files have disappeared, the web browser displays an empty directory listing.
Does anyone have a clue of what could have happened?

All files seem to have been deleted. Do you think someone has access to your credentials?
Was your website over 5gib? Were you over the indoe count? Did you have any content violating the TOS?
If you didn’t manually take a backup of your site, it is gone. Please do not request a backup.

It looks like your account was suspended. Please check the client area and let us know why. This could also by the reason why your site looked like it had no files.
Nope - it was suspended after I reloaded the files
After re-loading the files, the account was suspended:
" Your account was suspended because you hit the Hits Limits."
No idea what is going on here, perhaps it is a cyber attack.
Due to the “DDOS” attack. Use cloudflare to mitigate those requests first. Then after account is unsuspended, try reloading the files. Also use the ‘I am under attack mode’, which will show a JavaScript captcha to prevent bots etc, during that time!
