No errors. The main page and subpages open slowly. 10-20 second.
My website does not use a database. It is entirely file-based. After temporarily moving to another hosting to check - the website works properly on another server.
A file based forum software is still a forum. (Doesn’t matter if you actually use it as a forum or not.) And if you put lots of stuffs onto it it will be slow.
It was running just as slowly as it was before, even though there was no content. As I wrote earlier, I moved it (along with the content) to another hosting for testing, and everything opens perfectly there.
I can see that your website is indeed very slow, but I don’t know why. I just installed Flatboard 5 on a testing account myself and it worked perfectly there, so there isn’t some fundamental compatibility issue between our hosting and Flatboard.
Is there anything more you can tell about this? Did you have these performance issues as soon as you installed the website or did the problems come later? Do you remember changing anything about your website around the time the problems started?
Unfortunately, I can’t pinpoint when this started. The only way I tested it was to copy the website and run it in a subfolder on my company server, and the website works normally there.
Considering the limitations of InfinityFree’s hosting accounts, it’s quite likely that your company’s server affords the site a lot more server resources. If something about your Flatboard configuration is making it heavier than normal, than that would likely explain why it runs slower on InfinityFree.
Maybe you can’t pinpoint it exactly, but it seems like this account is a few months old. And it makes a big difference if this issue has been going on all that time or if it’s more recent.
