The InfinityFree Client Area Now Supports Multiple Languages!

We are pleased to announce that the InfinityFree client area now supports multiple languages! Our services are used by many people from across the world, who speak many different languages, and now it should be easier for you to use InfinityFree in your own language.

Which Languages Are Supported?

The client area is now available in the following languages:

  • English (default)
  • Spanish (Español)
  • Portuguese (Português)
  • Dutch (Nederlands)

More languages may be added in the future based on user demand and feedback!

How Can I Change My Language?

Switching languages is simple! You can configure the language for the client area through your Profile Settings:

  1. Navigate to Profile Settings in the main menu
  2. Go to Profile Information
  3. Scroll down to the Preferences section
  4. Select your preferred language from the dropdown menu (note that not all languages shown there are supported yet in the client area)
  5. Click “Update Profile” to save your changes

The interface will immediately update to display in your selected language. You can change this setting at any time.

What’s Been Translated?

This language support covers all logged-in functionality within the client area. Please note that the main website and emails have not yet been translated, but may be supported in the future.

We Need Your Feedback!

Adding support for multiple languages involved extensive modifications to the client area. While we have thoroughly tested everything to ensure all content was properly translated and functions correctly, it’s possible we may have missed something.

Please help us improve this feature:

  • If you notice any untranslated text or interface elements
  • If you encounter any functionality issues when using a non-English language
  • If you spot any translation errors or awkward phrasing

Important note about translations: The current translations were generated using AI and have not yet been reviewed by native speakers. While we have done our best to ensure accuracy, some translations may not be perfect or may not use the most natural phrasing for your region.

How to Report Issues

If you find any problems or have suggestions for improvement, please reply to this topic with details about what you found. When reporting issues, please include:

  • Which language you were using
  • What page or section had the issue
  • A description of the problem or your suggested improvement
  • Screenshots if applicable

What’s Next?

This is just the beginning of making InfinityFree more internationally accessible. Based on your feedback and usage patterns, we plan to:

  • Refine existing translations with help from native speakers
  • Consider adding support for additional languages
  • Improve the overall international user experience

Thank you for your patience as we worked on this feature, and thank you in advance for your feedback to help make it even better!

Happy hosting in your preferred language!

Honestly I’m expecting a .pot file here

Whoops, that was quick!

My first goal was to just implement the translation support with some “placeholder” languages to test it. But getting the community involved in the translation effort is a great idea. I do think it would be better to have some platform for it though, and not just pass translation files around.

Also, the client area doesn’t use .pot files, so there is that.

So we have a SaaS solution

As well as an open source solution

I don’t know how hard it is to integrate these with the current setup, but having a translation platform shouldn’t be a barrier.

Thanks for sending the links! I’ll have a look and see what would be a good option to implement.

@Admin
Hi! I’m from Israel he_il
I would be very happy if the customer area could support several features.

  1. Right-to-left (RTL) writing
  2. Hebrew language.
Willing to help with translation if needed (I’m responsible for the language in WordPress.)
    Best regards.

I recently thought about RTL support.

The good news is that the client area uses a well known CSS framework which does support RTL. But I didn’t think about RTL support at all during development so I have no idea how well it works.

When it gets to the point of supporting RTL languages like Arabic and Hebrew, that will need to be checked.

And just to let you know, I prioritize the languages to add mainly on what people have already configured in their profile. So even if the client area doesn’t support your language yet, if you select it in the your profile now, you may find that some day it’s there!
