Other Information

Apparently within 24 hours of going live I have somehow managed to achieve the 50,000 hits limit - yet the only content I have on there is a single “Down for Maintenance” page containing one link and no images!

I have never been so popular!

DDOS attack or something else?

There’re a lot of attacks happening recently and many people are being suspended. Indeed.

I’ve been hit too, to the point I was permanently banned from hosting my sites.

Nobody understands these attacks, but whomever is attacking is hurting everyone. And it looks like you are involved.

I hope that this attack doesn’t happen to your account again. That’s all I can say.

Wow! Had I known this was going on I wouldn’t have bothered giving this host a try out.
It’s obviously a coordinated attack from a rival(s) who sees “free hosting” as a threat to their existing business model… and it’s working!
Cloudflare might work but only to an extent apparently? so it seems the free hosting model is destined to fail if nothing more can be done about the attacks. I mean why should people bother?

Thanks for your reply. I’ll give it another shot and see how things go once my jail time is up.

Just test it and the site is suspended. You are saying that you are been ddos… Well, ddos is cheap, for less than $20 anyone can ddos a site for a week or more which means if you are running a free host you will get your bandwidth wasted in a couple of hours.

The real problem here is where are you sharing your links at. If you didn’t mention to anyone your site will be up and running. My suggestion is to start all over or buy a new domain and take in consideration on each link your share publicly, use private ways like close forums, WhatsApp messages, etc.

That really only works if you don’t want people to visit your website, but you do want people to visit your website so that’s not really a good suggestion. Also, attackers can find your URL from certificate logs, so if you create a brand new domain that is impossible to guess and don’t share it, simply requesting an SSL certificate is all you need to do to expose your site.

Set Cloudflare to “I’m under attack”, it works significantly better in that mode. You have a custom domain, so I totally recommend that you try it out.

Sounds very much like ransomware to be honest.

yes mine was just attacked a few days ago. I had to redo my website and find another address. They permanently banned my one website. This is really getting bothersome and I wish they could somehow block these annoying trouble makers.

This just happened to my website a couple days ago. Dont get your hopes up like I did. Basically 24 hours later they allow your website back up and within 4 minutes of mine being up it was at the 50,000 hits limit again. Then they permanently closed my one website.

So now I had to start another one. So annoying, I wish these trouble makers who have nothing else to do but cause problems for other people would start contributing to society in a positive way.
