account suspended
If it’s a temp suspension for hitting usage limits, you’ll have to wait out the 24 hours.
On the other hand, if it’s a permanent suspension due suspect abuse or to violations, then you can raise a ticket from the account page to ask them to reverse the suspension
I accidentally used some code to send emails to all the clients on my website, which turned out to violate the policy of Infinite Free, leading to my account being suspended. I really need access to the files, as this is my final year project, and without them, I’m so cooked
I did raise a ticket and it’s been 3 hours and I haven’t heard from them. How long does it usually take?
I’ve seen some people get a reply to a ticket within an hour, other people its taken over 24 hours. It all depends how busy they are. The hosting provider iFastNet who deal with the tickets, work with a lot of companies, not just infinity free, plus their own service, so sometiumes they can get busy.
While I can’t promise they’ll reactivate your account, they can arrange a backup for you.
Lesson for the future. If your site is that important, keep a local backup at all times. NEVER trust a remote server that you have no control over. while unlikely, if iFastNet had decided to close up shop and just shut down the servers and dissapeard, your files would have gone with them.
Thanks for the help! By the way, do you know how I can request a backup for my files?
You have to ask them in the ticket for a backup.
They haven’t responded to the messages in the ticket, I have already sent 4, I won’t send anymore until I get a response.
Definitely don’t send more messages now. Like the big warning banner says: it will move your ticket to the back of the queue.
It can take a few hours to get a reply. Don’t start bumping your ticket too soon or it will only take longer for you to get a reply.
