Stuck in Login Loop: Google Login Disabled vs Password Reset Redirect

Hi,

I am experiencing a login loop on my account. Here is what’s happening:

1. When I try to “Login with Google”, I get an error: “This email address is already registered, but authentication with Google is not enabled. Please use a different login method.”

2. When I try to reset my password, I receive an email saying: “Your account is configured to login with Google. To login please choose the Login with Google option instead.”

I am stuck and cannot access my account because both methods refer to each other. Could you please check my account and enable either Google login or password authentication manually?

My registered email is: [[email protected]]

Thank you!

I have checked your account, and I can see that only Google authentication is enabled, not password authentication.

However, while your client area profile email is the email address you shared, the profile is linked to a Google account with a different email address.

So if you try to login with the Google account of that Gmail address, you’ll be blocked, because that Google account is not linked to the profile. And signing up doesn’t work because the email address is already in use.

Do you remember which Google account you have used to sign up? If so, try logging in with it.

You are correct that I have created a new account. However, the email address where the issue persists is

When I try to use the “Log in with Google” button, I receive the following error: “This email address is already registered, but authentication with Google is not enabled. Please use a different login method.”

However, when I try to reset my password, I receive an email stating: “Someone (hopefully you!) requested a password reset for your account. However, password authentication is not enabled for your account. Your account is configured to login with Google.”

I am stuck in a loop and cannot access my account. Please let me know how I can resolve this or where I can send proof of ownership to regain access.

I understand the confusion. Let me clarify what’s happening with your account.

Your account is set up to login with Google, but here’s the key issue: the Google account linked to your profile is NOT the Google account for [email protected].

Your profile is configured to authenticate with a different Gmail account. That other Gmail account is what’s linked to your profile, even though [email protected] is listed as your contact email.

This is why you’re experiencing the loop:

  • Trying to login with the [email protected] Google account fails because that specific Google account isn’t linked to your profile
  • Password reset doesn’t work because your account uses Google authentication (just with a different Gmail account)

Here’s how to resolve this:

I’ve updated the password reset email to show you exactly which Gmail account is linked to your profile. If you request a password reset again using your email address, you’ll now see the email address of the Google account you need to use.

Once you have that information, click “Login with Google” and sign in with that Gmail account to access your account.

Thank you very much! the email indicated [email protected]

"Hi,

Someone (hopefully you!) requested a password reset for your account.

However, password authentication is not enabled for your account.

Your account is configured to login with Google. To login please choose the Login with Google option instead.

Note that your profile is linked to the Google account [email protected]. Please make sure to login with that specific account.

If you did not request a password reset, you can simply ignore this message.

Regards

but what should I do if I lost access to my mail? (I created the email a long time ago, but I don’t remember the password. I can’t recover it because there are no backup logins other than the password. Well, since [email protected] is listed as the contact, is there any chance I can get the account back via email at [email protected]? If you need proof, I can try to prove it’s my account (which website, what’s in the FTP files) or something else, but what…

You say that it’s an old account and you lost access, but the login history says that the account was accessed last month. What’s that about?

Let me explain in more detail.

I created this account by eye, meaning I didn’t think about the name or password.

Just a week ago, I lost the device on which this account was registered (login was only available on that device).

I can try to prove that this is my account.

For example: what domains I registered, what website is it currently on, what domain is the website on, and what website was it (there were two websites on two of the three accounts).

What are my next steps? Or will I lose access forever?

At the most, that would only prove you own the domain, not the client area account.

You’ll need to recover the Google account is you want access to the IF account since they are linked together.

I repeat, I DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO MY MAIL and never will again because I lost my device (you’ll understand this when I can’t log in more 3 months).

In any case, you said I could verify domain ownership, but which one? I have a domain from you, rf.gd, and so on. So, in the end, I’m left without an account and my data, right? I’d just like to download the websites I made.

I repeat: I lost the device with the email address I had on it. I had that project on the same device, but now it’s gone, and the only place it remains is your service.

If needed, I can try to write an approximate IP address from which I logged in last time, or other data. Just tell me what need to

In that case the above is pretty clear, if you can’t regain access to the email, then you can’t regain access to the account.

IF you have a custom domain, and can prove ownership, admin might be able to release the domain so you can set up the new account, but that may be the only option now

You can verify ownership of any custom domains you have.

Unfortunately that does not prove anything, as IPs are public information, and does not prove ownership of anything.

In the future, please make sure you have backup codes and recovery emails configured so this does not happen again.

So, in theory, I can prove it for all my domains. Will that be possible? Domains from Infinity Free, I can even list all the domains I’ve used and what Rediket does for each one, but what’s the point if I can’t download my projects?

It turns out that a completely different email is used to log in, and I have a contact email

From above, I gathered that your contact email is [email protected] and your login email is [email protected]

You will need to use [email protected] to log in. If you’ve lost access to that email, then you won’t be able to log in.

If you can prove ownership of customer domains (not InfinityFree subdomains) then admin may be able to release them from the account for you to use on a new account.

This is why you should keep your own backups… NEVER trust a third party (or your own technology tbh) with the only copy of important files. Backups should not be seen as an “if something goes wrong” but as a “when something goes wrong”

Cool!!! Your site was the “backup,” and the local backups were on the device I lost it on

And my last question: if the account is inactive for more than 2-3 months, is there any chance of getting it back? (I told you, I’m the owner, I lost the account, and I won’t be able to log in for a very long time.)

No

And we’ve told you that in this case your data is gone, you’ll never have access to it ever again

Given the circumstances, I’m making an exception here. I have just enabled password authentication for your account.

You can now request a password reset with the email address [email protected], and configure a new password. You can then login with the email address and password.

I still recommend unlinking your Google account and, if desired, link your new Google account.

Thank you so much for helping me regain access to my account! I’ll be double-checking everything from now on (I hope).
