SSL renewal

Oh LOL, the framework IF uses doesn’t work fully on xp

Windows XP is old know!!!

Have you checked your chrome or firefox version?
It should be latest version!

Most browsers dont support XP, i think. Well maybe try from another device??

Do you mean the zoom?

I change change the zoom within the browser. This sometimes improves things on certain websites.
But here I get no fifference even if I zoom down to 67%

Try from another device (like mobile phone or another laptop other than XP). You may share the key content via some other service to your main device (where you encounter this error)

I’m sorry for suddenly disappearing yesterday guys. I was suddenly blocked from replying again as a new user. Seems I was only granted 10 replies on Day 1 as a new forum user. Great when you join and are trying to resolve a problem. Perhaps something the forum admin should review.

I can confirm it is the latest version of both bowsers compatible with the OS.

I’ve tried another device and it’s the same issue.

Anyway, I’ve sorted it now.

There are 2 possibilities to overcome this issue (that do not incur great expense buy purchaseing new harware and software)

  1. Either just create an an account at ZeroSSL.com, and there is no
issue seeing the Private Key & Certificate. Then load to Cpanel as
    usual.

Or,

  1. As I later discovered whilst some were LOLing at my trusty old hardware/software, then I found I could simply see the Private Key &
Certificate by right clicking (in firefox) on the blue ‘view’ box to ‘view page source’, where the Private Key & Certificate could be found.

So I then loaded them.

It was unfortunate that no one could help me, and the site does not continue to accomodate loyal users who are not prepared to go out and waste their hard earned cash on an iPhone 13 in the hope it may allow one to view the site as intended.

I hope the answers I have posted will assist others in a similar situation as I found myself. As I’ve resolved the issue for myself, the
thread can now be closed.

The system is in place to prevent people from spamming the forum with new topics, or posting again and again. Unfortunately, it can effect people with good intentions like you as well. All you need to do to gain a higher post limit is to read other topics unrelated to your problem (So you know for the future).

Glad to hear you got it solved though!

That setting is intentional.

And you can avoid it by thinking before hitting the post button. Two times in this topic, you created two replies shortly after eachother. If you think (and search and test) first and only then hit the reply button, 10 replies in a day is enough.

This is Discourse, not Discord. It’s a forum, not a live chat. You’re not supposed to just blurt out your first thoughts.

We don’t accommodate Windows XP users because nobody else does so either. This includes Microsoft, who created Windows XP, as well as Google and Mozilla, who create the most popular browsers in the world.

You can just install Xubuntu or another lightweight Linux distribution on your old Windows XP machine. That’s completely free. And you will have an operating system that’s still being updated. Unlike Windows XP, which is EOL since 2014, so the latest versions of most browsers are not available on it.

Just because your device that’s older than the first iPhone doesn’t work with modern websites doesn’t mean you need to buy the latest iPhone instead.
