Error Message
Same as last time- I requested an SSL certificate yesterday and it still hasn’t arrived. Maybe the same bug where the request didn’t actually get processed?

From what I can tell from my end, I don’t see anything to suggest that you clicked the Request Certificate button before. Are you 100% sure that you clicked that specific button before? Did you see the loading bar appear in it’s place?

Yes, I did. Though only once, because the last time I had this issue I tried requesting it a few times and it didn’t work until an admin did it for me. This time, I figured it was the same issue and I mistakenly thought that “pending” indicated the request was made, but now I see that it doesn’t. If this happens again, I’ll try requesting again before calling you!
Just to be clear: “Pending” means that the certificate is in the setup stage. It does not mean “you requested it and we’ll do the rest”. For almost all steps, you need to click a button to move the process along.
Looking at your other topic I did do something last time, which was to click the Request Certificate button you clicked yourself last time. I didn’t do anything you couldn’t just as easily have done yourself.

Hey, I really did press the button and see a loading bar animation both times (you can see it in the first post of my last topic). It’s OK if you don’t believe me though.
Hmm, you’re right, I must have overlooked it last time. And it’s weird that you got the “spinning” loading bar, if it works correctly you should get a real loading bar that actually shows the progress.
So it looks like there might actually be a bug here. The code itself is quite complicated, so it’s entirely possible that there is a bug in it, but I’m not sure.
So thank you for pointing that out to me, I’m going to investigate this.

No worries. I had the “spinning” loading bar every time I tried requesting, except for the last time that worked.
I’m not sure if it’s relevant, but it’s possible I was using a VPN (PIA) when making those requests.
I did some more investigation in the issue. I still don’t fully understand how this situation could occur. But the logic has been changed a bit so you shouldn’t see the “spinning” loading bar again.
