Website URL

lunar-realms.space
(please specify the URL of the site on which you are experiencing the problem)

Error Message

ISP blocked me from site because unsafe
(please share the FULL error message you see, if applicable)

Other Information

i installed an SSL certificate and status has been active but when i try to view my own site it still says unsafe and refuses to let me see my own site from my understanding the SSL is installed correctly and is active
(other information and details relevant to your question)

even when i do https://lunar-realms.space it still warns unsafe

It’s working for me.

Try Ctrl + F5 to clear cache (this includes some certificate cache) or use incognito mode.

Some certificates might not work well in certain region, which kind of certificate are you using right now?

If you believe that is your ISP doing something, then you probably need to appeal to them.

hey i tried again a few hours later and it was fine i think it was to do with my isp having to update on their side bc when the blocked page was showing from my isp i clicked the message and it said ssl certificate not verified. but if i ran a vpn i could get thru fine and it would show as secure. all is fine now tho

hmm i updated my website and now its back to being blocked do i need to renew ssl every time i update ?

It’s still working.

Of course you don’t.

Can you please share a screenshot of how is it being blocked so we can further investigate?

my other website which is older has no SSL at all and i can load it just fine i assume its because it gets alot of traffic and is well established

This is not “ISP” blocking your site, it is just your browser had a high level security settings, it probably tried to look for intermediate chain certificates which we don’t support at all.

I recommend you to change your browser.

It is also possible that something funny happened during the certificate request. You may try re-request the certificate, and if the issue persists, you know it was your browser, not your “ISP”.

Like Frank said, that’s not you ISP blocking the page, that’s your browser.

However, I disagree with frank that it’s the security settings at fault, as that would probably throw a different error message.

Try clearing the site data (cache) for the page, then CTRL+F5. Note that using a different browser / device and/or network would also resolve the issue. The browsers SSL cache should clear within a few days

when using a vpn

also tried on my phone

with no vpn

In your last picture, are you sure you are on the right domain? The certificate shown is not for the domain you shared with us

I’m afraid that ogshwang is connected to the right domain. Or at least is trying to access the right domain.

But it appears that their ISP, Telstra, is doing something nasty, is hijacking the connection to their website and rerouting it to their own website. That’s why accessing the site through a VPN works: it bypasses Telstra’s censorship filter.

Which is actually what ogshwang said in their very first post:

The short answer is that you’ll have to work this out with your ISP. They are blocking you from accessing your site, and only they can fix it. There are workarounds of course (like a VPN). But there isn’t anything that can be done on the hosting site if your ISP doesn’t let you connect to the hosting in the first place.

if it is just a me issue that is fine i can deal with using a vpn but it will eventually be a landing page for my server so i need the playerbase to be able to see it so hopefully all goes well super annoying

I suspect that other people with the same ISP may experience similar issues. So you may want to get this resolved with Telstra anyways to make sure that all visitors are able to access your website.
