Softaculous: "You have reached the inode limit of your hosting account"

Hi all.

I had 5 domains in one free Infinity account, and all domains had WordPress installed. Today, I deleted one domain, and added a new domain. So I still have a total of 5 domains in the one account.

When I run Softaculous to install WordPress on the new domain, this is the error message displayed:
“You have reached the inode limit of your hosting account. Please reduce the number of files and directories in your account, or upgrade to premium hosting which has a much higher inode limit.”

Inode allows 5 domains, is that correct? What is the issue here? Thanks in advance. :+1:

EDIT: Now that I think about it, should I have uninstalled WordPress before I deleted the domain? Does Softaculous only allow 5 installations of WordPress and won’t install any more WordPress, even if one domain had been deleted?

Thank you.

I deleted the entire htdocs folder of the deleted domain, about 4 minutes ago, and Softaculous is still giving the same error message.

Do I just need to wait for a few hours and then I should be able install WordPress on the new domain?

Yes, status update is not instant
