Hello,

I am trying to migrate my free WordPress site on InfinityFree to another WordPress site using duplicator. But when I try to download the files the process appears to stop or freeze at 9.1 mb.

The site files are about 181.33MB.

Is this happening because I am using a free plan? Would it be resolved if I upgraded to a paid verson?

WordPress backup plugins tend to be problematic. It’s recommended you back up your site manually instead.

For reference free hosting have a file size limit of 10 MB for most file types, so backup plugins simply cannot work properly. Premium doesn’t have this limit but by following EdwardHamHam’s guide you could well backup your site without paying anything.

FYI: if the backup is already made, it should be stored somewhere in your website files. While web downloads larger than 10 MB are blocked, that restriction doesn’t apply to the file manager or FTP. So you may be able to retrieve your backup that way.

Premium hosting doesn’t have this restriction. However, it sounds like you’re trying to migrate the website elsewhere, and purchasing a premium account just to download a backup is not necessary.
