Seeing quite a few posts on here of users reporting the same “server not responding” message - is there anything from admins to confirm what’s happening?
Noticed slow performance on mine yesterday with pages loading, and today it’s completely inaccessible. Receiving the same “ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT - Server not responding…” messages in Chrome. Have tried on mobile, over VPN, in a different browser - all the same. What is happening? Is there no way to check the status of InfinityFree services?
Oddly enough, file manager works and I am able to connect via FTP.
Same; FTP started working this morning and could access the file manager but the site is still down. Hopefully someone can get it fixed soon. One other person has the same server IP as me and they are having the identical issue. NMAP doesnt resolve the site, DNS has a pointer but shows down, ping doesnt work either.
Oh I know…someone labeled as a leader got a smart mouth with me about it thinking I dont understand how preventing ICMP works. So i asked if they wanted an NMAP scan, explained how DNS works, etc. The server is 100% down. NMAP doesnt show any connections, the DNS pointer shows good but does not resolve so hopefully they get it fixed soon. Thank you though…you were much nicer than the other person!
NMAP works by scanning the IP the site is on. So during an outage where the server behind that IP seems to be having problems, I wouldn’t expect it to show any results, because its not going to get any response or see anything on the other side.
