Site can't provide a secure connection

I received an “site down” alert this morning at 8:06am EST from my monitoring service. When I went to browse to the site, I received a " This site can’t provide a secure connection" SSL error. My Lets Encrypt cert is valid until 2/13/2023, so I’m not sure what the issue is here.

I’ve made no changes to the site recently and it just seems to have gone down.

Username (e.g. epiz_XXX) or Website URL

Error Message#

This site can’t provide a secure connection. ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

Other Information

Lets Encrypt cert is valid until 2/13/2023.

Change the ssl if possible

I tested it and get ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR too.

Maybe get a new cert, revoke the old one then, re-install the new cert?

There is not a certificate installed on the site at the moment. Open the control panel’s SSL/TLS section and check to see if a certificate is installed.

I will try that, but I had this cert on there all along and my site was fine until this morning. Why would the cert disappear from the site? It’s information is still in the cert and key fields in the control panel.

Maybe something got mixed up with the backend. Try issuing new certificates for both domains.

I pressed “reinstall automatically” for my current SSL cert and that fixed the issue.

I didn’t have to request a new cert, just did the step above.
