Rf.gd subdomain suddenly not working – DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

The site cannot be reached. The DNS address of careerpathway.rf.gd could not be found.

Other Information

My website was working perfectly before, but today it suddenly stopped working.

My hosting account is active and the domain careerpathway.rf.gd is still connected to the htdocs directory. All website files are present in the htdocs folder.

I checked DNS propagation using dnschecker.org and it shows the IP resolving worldwide (all green). However, the website is still not accessible and shows DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN on all devices and networks.

Even when I click “View Website” from the InfinityFree control panel, the same error appears.

Could you please check if there is any issue with the rf.gd subdomain DNS or server configuration?

Hi!

When you first register a domain, DNS relating to the “new” subdomain is not yet propagated world wide. In the case of iFastNet (InfinityFree’s bigger brother), this can take around 72h.

You can temporarily bypass this by going to command prompt and entering:

C:\> ipconfig /flushdns

What this does is reset your DNS cache, meaning your PC will ask the internet “Hey, what’s the IP for this … domain,” in some cases it may not happen to give you new results very fast but it is much better than just waiting.
