Request entity too large

Hello,

I have just set up a new account with InfinityFree as I was having issues with my previous hosting supplier. It was all very quick and easy until I wanted to upload the files for my website. Fillezilla wouldn’t connect to the FTP server provided so I used the online file manager, which was very easy to use and very fast to upload (I was pleasantly surprised). However, there were a couple of files that wouldn’t upload with the following error message:

The upload failed: 413 / Request entity too large

The files in question are 30MB and 33MB respectively. They are MP4 files so are already compressed, I can’t make them smaller :frowning:

I thought the whole premise of InfinityFree was that it was unlimited? So why is there a limit on file size? Is there a way to work around it?

Thanks in advance,

Max file upload is 10MB, no more.
Please keep in mind, Hosting media files like MP4 and etc aren’t allowed in this hosting. You can host these in a filesharing host.

Thanks for your reply. Is there really no way around this? These are just short videos I took in the last few years, they’re just part of the content for my personal web page - I am not hosting huge amounts of multimedia files. Also they are embedded inside the HTML code for the page, so I need to find a way to upload them otherwise the web page won’t load correctly.

I’m in the process of moving those files onto YouTube and linking to them from the web page. That should hopefully fix it.
