Other Information

I uploaded 358 files with uppercase names from a Windows PC. But all names should be in lowercase. I could not find any way in the File Manager to rename all files at once, so I uploaded all files again with the right names. Now I can’t find a way to remove all the unwanted uppercase files at once.

A quick way to do this is with FileZilla. Open and connect to FTP, press Ctrl+A and then press Delete key. Then, simply drag and drop the correct files.

Note: This does remove all of the files in the directory, so make sure you have a backup of the files you want to keep.

As @wackyblackie said, using FileZilla is best. The reason is because you would have to select each file individually in the online file manager (That could take awhile depending on the number of files), where are can easily select them all when using FileZilla.

Please let me know if you have any questions!

I have installed FileZilla now and have successfully removed the 358 extra files.
But how about the other question, to batch rename all the files to lowercase names directly on the server? It feels like waste of bandwidth to upload all files again just to change the names.

You can’t do that. Just upload all of the files by drag-and-drop method.
It may take some time, but don’t worry about the load on the server.
If you are not on a mobile network, you should have plenty of bandwidth
to upload all of the files. (Mobile network being cellular, not Wi-Fi)

You can rename the files on the FTP server, but I don’t know of any FTP software that can do that. It could probably be scripted, but I think that just deleting the existing files and uploading them with the right names is easier.
