Remote Site folder not appearing in FileZilla to transfer ClassicPress CMS files

Update: Did both but sadly neither worked. Still the same

Status: Waiting to retry…
Status: Resolving address of ftpupload.net
Status: Connection attempt failed with EAI_NODATA - No address associated with nodename.
Error: Could not connect to server

Please test this too:

use the IP address directly Instead of the hostname

instead of ftpupload.net use 185.27.134.11

image

or try ftp.epizy.com

test everything with VPN without FW turned on in the app

and then later without VPN

The site seems to be connected but still no folder for remote site. Perhaps this might be a Filezilla issue? Or the issue is more on my device. Hmm. Will hit the sack for tonight and try it on another PC, although it’s going to be slower, tomorrow. Thank you very much for your assistance on this matter! Will provide updates if ever :>

Is that screenshot with ftp.epizy.com with or without the VPN?

Because if what you see at the top there are the last logs, then you have the exact same issue as you had without the VPN.

Both ftpupload.net and ftp.epizy.com ultimately point to the same IP address, so it doesn’t matter what name you use if access to our FTP server is blocked on your network.

The screenshot was done without VPN.

Apologies for the late reply as I just finished some deadlines within this weekend

A classmate of mine who also had the same issue out of the blue provided this old YT tutorial that fixed my problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxvNZS70810
Very happy to announce that a solution was found and fixed!

I thank you Infinity Free staff and community for taking the time to help me with my problem. I learned a lot on this journey and although some sleepless nights was done, it is not in vain. I hope you all would have a wonderful Christmas this time of year! Take care and God bless

Hopefully this forum will be of help to someone who may encounter the same thing in the future…maybe even a junior of mine haha.

I’m glad to hear that you have a satisfactory solution. But I must state very clearly: THIS RECOMMENDATION IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE AND HIGHLY DISCOURAGED.

What you did was essentially what I also wrote here:

If you want to keep using this solution, that’s up to you. Just be very well aware of the risks you’re taking by sending your files and credentials over the internet without any protection.

Since this is just a website for homework where I will submite privately to my professor, I don’t have to worry (hopefully) that there won’t be any security issues to my PC in the future. I also hope that my professor knows the risk done to this move (if ever they watched the YT tutorial I shared to them) and does not compromise my website hehe.

Thank you for the heads up! Didn’t know what I did ngl T-T. Just tryna submit to pass a grade but knowing this, it’s a bit scary
