Redirects

Dear Sirs,

I would like to redirect my website but got error message “Connection to FTP server failed. Please try again later.”. Here are the screenshots for your reference. Could you please let me know how to fix it? Thank you.

Please check with Freenom. All Freenom domains are having issues at the moment

Hi KangJL,

Due to having issues, I would like to redirect the domain to another one.

Additionally, I got the following error message when I set up Security Plugin for firewall.

It will not work.
Nameserver already not pointing to IF

Hi KangJL,

Thank you for your information.

May I clarify with you if I cannot redirect “https://convergence.cf” to “https://convergence.wuaze.com” using InfinityFree Redirects (Domain and Website Options>Redirects) because nameserver already not pointing to IF (I don’t understand what is this.)? If both websites are using InfinityFree, can I do that? Also, should I enter any details on “example-url” under Source URL?

Regards & Thanks

You can login to your freenom account.
All domains are currently pending, which means you are no longer in control of your domains. Redirect will not work when you cannot control the domain

Hi KangJL,

Thank you for your explanation.

Could you please also demonstrate how to redirect a domain on InfinityFree step by step? Since I am not sure whether I should enter any details or URL to replace “/example-url” which is under Source URL or not?

Regards & Thanks

Hi KangJL,

Just want to let you know that I have successfully redirected a domain not enter any details on “/example-url”.

Thank you so much for your valuable time and assistance.

It’s your choice, and it’s very simple.

If you want to redirect a sub path, enter a sub path. If you don’t want to redirect a sub path (but instead redirect everything on the domain), then don’t enter a sub path.

There isn’t really a “wrong” way to use the redirects tool.
