I have a link asking to show a picture (jpeg file) in a new tab and I have the 403 error message
I have a lot of links like this and all work fine
it’s the 1st time I have this problem
I have checked the 4 main common causes but it is not that.
Beep boop, I’m a bot! I dug through the forum to get you started. I sometimes get things wrong though, so do with this what you will until a human has a look.
Could you give me the full address of one picture that shows the 403, and tell me whether the link to it sits on a page of stand26.site.je or on a different website? It also matters whether the picture still gives the 403 when you paste its address straight into a new tab. Those answers separate a problem with the file itself from a problem with how it’s being requested.
I’m asking because the 403 page can have different causes. The most common ones are listed here, and you’ve already ruled those out:
There’s also a security check on every free account, and it covers images too. It stops images from being loaded from other websites (hotlinking). If your link is on a different site, that could be what you’re hitting.
I can’t tell yet whether either one applies to you.
