Recommended Speed Optimization Plugins For Wordpress

I saw on the forum that @Greenreader9 says that using WordPress JetPack is not recommended by Infinity free hosting. And it could cause account suspension.

So I would like to know what else can I use alternative to that.
Thank you.

If your site it slow, it means there is too much stuff in it. WordPress itself is pretty fast, it’s only when you start bloating it with heavy plugins like website builders and stores that WordPress gets slow.

And if the problem is that you have too many slow plugins, do you think that adding more plugins will help or just make the problem worse?

If you have a slow website, you can’t just spray on some “speed sauce” to solve it. Fixing a slow website is done by investigating what makes it so and remove or change that. Like you could test your website with some of the plugins disabled and see which plugin or plugins make it slow.

That said, there are some things you can do to tweak WordPress performance. But every plugin has pros and cons, and while an optimization may benefit one metric, it may be ineffective on some sites or harmful to other metrics.

A few categories of plugins you could consider:

  • Caching plugins, such as WP Super Cache or W3 Total Cache (LiteSpeed cache is NOT recommended, because we do not use LiteSpeed server).
  • Asset optimization plugins, such as WP Optimize.

If you have your own domain name, using Cloudflare can also benefit performance.
