Public_html on cPanel

Hello guys!

I’m trying to create a forum in phpBB with server and hosting free just for a test. As I’m very layman, I’m following several tutorials on how to create the forum in phpBB, and I followed to the part of the files contained in phpBB-3.2.2.rar (downloaded from the official phpBB website) are unpacked inside a folder and listed in the FileZilla. But when I need to drag the uncompressed files to the public, I can not find this (Public_html) directory in the cpanel.

In the cpanel, in Files > Online File Manager > and only appear as htdocs, logs, .htaccess, .override and DO NOT UPLOAD FILES HERE, and I can not find Public_html.

Does anyone know you tell me he’s not showing up?

Thanks.

hello
On VistaPanel servers, the htdocs folder is the document root for the account’s main domain

Public_html = htdocs

it was easier for you to go
to the client area > control panel

softaculous app installer
and then choose forums > phpBB > install

Got it!

I’ll try again, thanks a lot!

I would not use softaculous on some apps if I am to be honest like MyBB cause many software there are outdated like vanilla forums and MyBB
