I tried resetting the password in the script installer but the new password did not work after resetting. I also clicked the forgot password link on the admin page in HESK but then did not receive a password reset email. The page then displayed an error regarding email.

Unfortunately, PHP mail() is disabled by InfinityFree.

If you want to reset your HESK password, you can go to the Script Installer, select Installations, select the orange pencil next your HESK installation, then look for the Admin Account section.

Enter your Admin account username, then enter in the new password you want to set. Then, scroll down and click Save Installation Details.


If you did not use Softaculous to install HESK, you can refer to this website to help reset your Admin password.

I tried resetting the Admin password in the script installer but it did not reset. I still was unable to login with the new password after completing the reset process.

If the script installer is unable to reset your HESK password, you can follow the instructions I have linked in my above post. This works, regardless of if you had installed HESK from Softaculous or not.

A very quick Google search about resetting a HESK password pointed me to this page from this knowledge base, describing a method to perform a password reset without having to reset it through email. Maybe this works for you?

I have already attached that help article in my first post! For as long as the HESK installation isn’t corrupt, the help article does help.
