Erreur de connexion : SQLSTATE[HY000] [2002] Connection timed out
I want to create a PHP website that connects to an external database. When I create a PHP page with a database connection test, I get this error even though my database is accessible externally. Is access to the external database blocked?
You can only connect to external SQL servers on port 3306. See @Meishin ‘s reply below
If you are trying to connect to a free hosting database from another service, that is not allowed.
That’s gone some weeks ago. Now no external databases at all.
Unfortunately admin confirmed a few weeks back that the required outbound connections for database connections are being blocked.
Is that because we need to pay for it (the hosting)? If so, where can we do that where it is allowed? I’m interested in doing something similar.
It’s something that I believe is available on premium hosting.
But other than that, we’re not going to promote other free hosting here
