Private key not generating CSR

I have been trying to copy the private key and click on the upload button, then copy the SSL Certificate and paste it, but after adding the private key, it’s not generating the CSR and then try to install WordPress, it says A trusted SSL Certificate was not found.

but I have done the same with my other domain on the same account and it is fine.

not sure what happened this time.

I need help ASAP, please.

This is normal. You don’t need to generate a CSR, because you already have an SSL certificate.

If you’re trying to get an SSL certificate from a third party, you can generate the private key and CSR from the control panel and use the CSR to request the SSL certificate. But the client area generates the private key and SSL certificate for you. The CSR is generated in the client area just before the SSL certificate is requested, and discarded afterwards. Because once you have a valid SSL certificate, the CSR is useless.

This is a known issue. I believe the workaround is (but @Ergastolator1 probably knows this better than I do) to install WordPress in Softaculous without HTTPS, and switch it to HTTPS afterwards by changing the Website URL.

let me tell you the whole process, I have infinityfree account, from there, I go to control panel and installing wordpress through softaculas from my control panel, while installing it it says it do not found any cerificate for use of https, so I did as same as in the first reply of Admin, and it is not founding any ssl there, I left the csr place emtpy and moved but not working, I for got how i did with m other domain.

Hi thanks for reply, check this- Screenshot by Lightshot and then this- Screenshot by Lightshot

Yes, like I said, you need to install WordPress without HTTPS and switch it to HTTPS afterwards.

The issue here is that the Let’s Encrypt certificates we offer are valid, but not properly recognized anywhere. To make that happen, you would have to install an Intermediary Certificate (or CA chain), but that feature is only available on premium hosting.

That’s why you need a workaround like that for now.
