I have a site with the free plan on InfinityFree.
On InfinityFree, Starter Premium is announced at $29.99 per year. Since I have an existing domain, this is displayed as a total.
However, when I get redirected to iFastNet, it shows:
Total Due Today: $36.89USD
There is no explanation about the price change.

All the premium plans are provided by IFastNet, and InfinityFree doesn’t sell these plans or control the price.
Looking on the InfinityFree Premium Hosting page, I can’t see anywhere were it says $29.99 per year. The only place I can see this is on IFastNet’s signup page, where it has this banner
Unfortunately that’s something you’d need to take up with IFastNet as its outside of InfinityFree’s control

It’s indeed tax.
If you calculate the difference, you can see that the price you pay is 23% higher than the listed price. Which is exactly the VAT rate in Portugal.
