Error Message

My site’s request to support_chat.php with action=presence returns 302 Found and redirects to https://errors.infinityfree.net/errors/403/. The error page says the server or website configuration is blocking access. Other site requests appear to work.

Could you check whether a hosting security rule is blocking this POST request? I can provide the exact domain and timestamp if needed.

Welcome to the InfinityFree community forum! Good to have you here.

  • Most people answering here are volunteers. They’re often the fastest source of help. Admin (the only staff member) checks in about once a day for issues on our end.
  • Volunteers can’t see your account or website. Share what you actually see, like error messages and what happens when you try something. That’s more useful than your theory of what’s wrong.
  • AI tools often get InfinityFree wrong. If a volunteer’s advice differs from what an AI told you, please try the volunteer’s suggestion first.
  • Solving an issue is a joint effort. Try the suggestions you get and report back what happened.

Welcome to the forum.

You can’t host chat scripts on InfinityFree (as per the T&C’s) and so key words like “chat” are blocked and will redirect to the 404 page.

You can host a chat script elsewhere and embed it on your InfinityFree page, but you can’t call the page “chat”

Thanks for clarifying. I want to make sure I follow the rules: the portal will remain on InfinityFree, while the custom chat interface, PHP API, and chat data will be hosted elsewhere and embedded in both the resident portal and clerk dashboard. The embedded chat would make HTTPS requests to that external API. Is this arrangement allowed? Also, does “you can’t call the page chat” refer to pages hosted on InfinityFree, or does it also apply to the embedded external interface?
