Ping service

I wanted to ask that does infinity pro free plan supports pings. I wanted to add ping.fc2.com and some bunch of others which my site could ping and they could ping others about it.

  1. Premium hosting allows pinging.
  2. For reference there’s no such thing called “InfinityFree Pro Plan”. Paid plans are sold by iFastNet.
  3. Further premium hosting related inquiries should go to iFastNet directly.

Sorry. I asked for infinityfree free plan. Could you answer for that?

I’m not quite sure if I can answer your question confidently. What exactly do you mean with “pings”?

“Ping” is a network tool/protocol to test whether a remote hosting is alive and reachable. Hosting “supporting ping” means you could either be talking about pinging the hosting server, or the hosting server sending pings elsewhere. Those are two different things by the way.

But the website you’re referring to ping.fc2.com, seems to be used for “search engine pinging”, which is a tool that (supposedly, I’m not so sure these things even work) “pings” search engine to let them know your site exists. This has no relation at all to the network ping.

For this latter one, I see no reason why it wouldn’t work on our hosting. We don’t block outbound web traffic (doing so would break basically all website software in some way), so you can just call your search engine ping services without any problems.
