Phpbb 3.1.12 won't install using FTP

**What I’m seeing is:When trying to install phpbb 3.1.12 I get " Required - You must be running at least version 5.3.3 of PHP (PHP 7 is not supported) in order to install phpBB. If safe mode is displayed below your PHP installation is running in that mode. This will impose limitations on remote administration and similar features.

Trying to sandbox a forum skeleton using ABS/Classic_Golf_Today/forum2/install

I do get to the install phpbb pages, but it won’t let me move through the install as it says above… which I assume is not a compatible PHP version.

Go to client area/ cpanel. Then change your php version to 5.6 or everything under 7.
