my php as been upgraded to verision 8.2 but can you degrade my php version for this site. because i want to instal a theme and it always says broken after activation of the wordpress theme.
Welcome back to the forum! Unfortunately we can’t revert back the PHP version because it was out of date by almost a year now. Please either consider letting your theme’s developer know to upgrade your theme to support the latest PHP version, choosing a similar theme to the one you were trying to install or, if the developer doesn’t want to upgrade the theme or you still insist in installing that theme, upgrade to Premium Hosting as it has a PHP selector, along with older versions that are still maintained with HardenedPHP, and more features.

all of the alternative themes needed 7.4 php version
what is a way to degrade php version
its a bit of work but you could edit the theme’s php to make it compatible with 8.2 yourself or hopefully the original author will update it

if you’re not familiar with programming in the php language then it’ll probably be too much work for you

Upgrading to premium hosting.
Alternatively, looking for a different theme. Your website uses WordPress; most WordPress themes that are still actively maintained support PHP 8.2.
