Other Information
I’ve already reported this. The DNS server gave the address. The operator switched me to Google DNS, but after 1 day it stopped working again. Can someone check if it works for him? Can creating a 2-player game miniserver (frequent fetch) cause blocks?
The whole game is… I tried connecting to itch.io but it didn’t work. Connecting to the php server every 100 ms - transferring game data - line of text.
I’m not sure what “connecting to itch.io” actually means, but I can tell you that using our hosting to host a data API for a game will not work. We provide hosting for websites, not APIs. Seeing a 403 error there is expected.
The traceroute “not working” is completely normal. We block pings and traceroutes on our network.
Also, I don’t see how that’s related to your question, because:
I already told you that the requests from your Itch.io hosted game will not work. I also already told you why, and if you’ve read the article I linked to, then you should know that this problem cannot be fixed.
You say the problem is that you get a 403 error. That means that you are able to connect to the server, but the server is blocking your request. That proves the traceroute result is irrelevant, because it’s not a network connection issue.
It seems like there was some miscommunication. When you mentioned itch.io and the game’s PHP server, I assumed that was the problem. I understand now that you’re saying the website itself doesn’t load for you.
I’ve checked your website and account, and I can’t find anything that would cause a 403 error. The site is also loading fine for multiple other people here. So there’s something specific to your situation causing this, but I’m not sure what.
Can you take a screenshot of the 403 error page you’re seeing? The exact page matters a lot, because different 403 pages point to very different causes. Also, does visiting https://gamer.gd/ directly give you the same error?
