Error Message

The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site https://gmnearywrites.com [IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed cURL error 56: OpenSSL SSL_read: OpenSSL/3.0.20: error:0A000126:SSL routines::unexpected eof while reading, errno 0] (Status 500)

Other Information

I’m trying to setup Jetpack on my personal author page. When I go to activate it, I get the referenced error message. My current SSL provider is Let’s Encrypt. In searching other topics online, I saw that maybe it’s related to the incorrect chain on the SSL, but Let’s Encrypt says their chain is complete and has the keys even.

Another topic I saw said it might be security features on the website blocking the attempt? I’m on the free hosting plan if that matters.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

I’m not familiar with jetpack, but the security system is designed to block any none browser connections. So of jetpack uses a bot/crawler, or a command like curl to verify anything on your site then it will be blocked.
