One of my account got blocked twice

Wasn’t any of our call, contact IFN to resolve this. We have no control over this type of things.

You have to be confident and very sure that this database does not offer or link to pirated download links or even offer the option to do so. If you’re certain, make clear this point when you raise a new support ticket with IFN with justification and proof.

I’m wild guessing that the suspension system might consider your movie site as pirated content category, but we can’t tell.

Also, if your descriptions are taken from IMDB, it might be possible for them to copyright strike your site as well, even if you use their API. IMBD normally does not allow competing site that simply list what they already have without additional features implemented. i.e. they do not need another site mirroring their content.

Cheers!

It might be a mistake as files doesn’t even have any code of that. also system should respond time of upload but after 1 2 months they were banning

No its opensource content.

I checked the site and it definitely looks like a movie piracy site to me. There is a site called “stream play” that’s described on the website as a “Movie and TV Show streaming platform”, with a nice big download list next to every video on there.

I haven’t found any pirated downloads on your website yet, but it seems very obvious to me what the purpose of your website is, even if you have not finished it yet.

Is it? Under which open source license is it being distributed? GPL? MIT? CC? And can you provide any evidence that this particular license is being used?

Just because another website publishes content for anyone to see, that doesn’t mean that you’re allowed to copy and use that information in any way you want.

They confirmed me about other accounts will be closed immediately. They were not even understanding or listening properly and responding like a template(automatic replies) rather reading whole message. and not even verifying my files as they were not harmful. whatever i’m fed up of asking them. BYE Guys.

NO it was not modifed, i’m modifiying whole pages as it was open sources files. and i was changing them last month but i forgot as i was working for another thing. and those won’t work   it was just button without scripts. totally safe

I fount it in some website and a github too. i was merged and been modifiying the content. you can check that website stats it won’t even cross 10 clicks as i was checking those files. and i don’t have local resources to run those files.

I moved some posts around.

For the discussion about the account suspension use this topic.

For the .htaccess upload issues: .htaccess

For the URL suffix issue (which I think was solved already?): How to remove ?i=1

As for your last few posts:

  • GitHub has plenty of projects on it that are malicious or designed to break the law. Any service that deals with user submitted content will have content on it that they do not allow, but are simply not aware of. So “but it’s on GitHub so it’s fine” is not how it works.
  • Not being able to develop software locally doesn’t entitle you to upload prohibited content to our servers, and not having a lot of traffic also doesn’t give you a free pass.
  • We assess websites based on what we see, not based on what we are told. And your website has all the tells of an (unfinished) movie piracy site. We’re not going to give you a free pass because you promise you won’t actually use it as a movie piracy site.

Hi saikub,

I think what you meant is that you have found some online HTML templates that are movie listing sites and the design comes with the buttons (without functionality) right?

Can you share the github links to those templates?

Meanwhile, both sides are justified here as the hosting management isn’t obliged to wild guess your intentions for using the hosting as a development server or actual piracy. They can only see that your website has a download button regardless of whoever put it there.

I think if you can provide evidence that it’s from a template and you’re using the hosting as development, and you’re wiling to comment out the button in HTML code and make it clear that it isn’t a piracy site, then you might be able to get the hosting back? idk.

But since your site has already been checked by admin, and that the intention is as clear, you really need some strong proof here.

Just a note, even if you didn’t place any scripts to make it work does not mean you will not do it in the future, the design itself speaks for the site and having such a button does not make things look good on your case.

This didn’t reply to my statement for IMDB “not needing another site mirroring their content”.

From my experience of integrating IMDB APIs and working with movie site templates, most of the time the design won’t come with a download or stream button in the details page, as the designer hosting their work were often subject to the same hosting rules that are set forth by most legit hosting companies not allowing piracy.

Here’s an exmaple:

They put pricing table, trailers and login instead. This one even has an episode listing which I find quite nice.

Cheers!
