No domains on account

I’ve been trying to add MX entries and SPF records to the account if0_39324117. Under domain in the control panel it simply says no domain on account. I couldn’t find anything in the knowledge base. Is there a solution to this?

Please prove that there is a domain on that account.

This is not a domain

It is a free subdomain

I’ve used MX records on them before.

Well, that was before.
There were some changes to free hosting recently.
You may have to wait for Admin for further clarifications.
What I can be certain is you will not face such issue if you have a custom domain

This is a side effect of the bug that was fixed after the SSL changes. It used to be that the hosting platform didn’t consider your subdomain to be a subdomain if it was added during account creation, and instead considered it an own domain. Setting up MX records and SPF records for subdomains was never possible, but because these subdomains were not considered subdomains, it was possible anyway.

I have discussed this with iFastNet and they are investigating to add the ability to set MX records and SPF records for subdomains too. But right now, it’s not possible.

Can it just be reverted to the way it was?

Reverting the fixes iFastNet made will cause other issues to occur. It’s best to wait until a solution for MX/SPF records turns up.

Ahh, ok.

No, we’re not going to reintroduce bugs just so you can do things that were never supposed to be possible.

If the functionality is going to be re-added, we will do so deliberately and in a way that’s sustainable.
