MyOwnFreeHost Application denied

can someone please give me some help here :frowning: I have submitted this application five times now (twice with a different domain to this one)…

At first I thought it was because I had used a free domain name (.ga and .ml from freenom) so I went and used one of my companies parked domains, set up the name servers, and went and registered again - I (stupidly) believed their nonsense explanation when it says please use a “real domain” (well, its not a bloody fake one! Even .ga and .ml are real domains, even if they are frequently used by spammers  )

So, long story short, I have now tried to register thebotfactory.co.uk a further two times, and both times I get the same door slamming in my face. What gives?

Dear Reseller,

Unfortuantly your applciation to become a free hosting reseller was not successfull.

The domain name used for this applicaition was thebotfactory.co.uk.

Reasons for a failed application can be, but are not limited to (this is a generic list of reasons, and not specific to your application) :

  1. Non qualified domain name (we do not allow free domain names to be used for reseller hosting
  2. Domain name name not resolving to our name servers (a reseller domain name must resolve to ns1.byet.org - ns4.byet.org

Please feel free to re-apply for a reseller account, however please do ensure that the domain name is a real domain name, and that the name servers are set before appllying

Best Regards

I used a .cf and it worked!! maybe register one of those from freenom.
EDIT: could be the nameservers.

And I really don’t know why “not resolving to our nameservers” is a reason to reject applications anyway, since you cannot be accepted for account setup if they do not resolve in the first instance! When you sign up for an account, it checks your name servers during applcation, and if they are not set, it doesn’t let you proceed. If they are set, then it says congratulations, your account is being prvisioned, check back in 24 hours…

I guess its in case you swapped them back again… but what is the difference between the check they do at signup, and the check they did later to reject it?

I tried all of these:

thebotfactory.cf
thebotfactory.gq
thebotfactory.ga
thebotfactory.cf

  1. This is way off topic from what this forum is supposed to be about. I don’t know why people come here for MOFH questions, since Admin (And some of us as well) is/are never going to help someone become a competitor.
  2. I completely agree with @wackyblackie. You are now the second person to bring this problem up here (Again, why?), but I believe @wackyblackie has the answer. I am not going to say why though (Explanation in #1 above)
  3. Can this topic be removed and hidden? (Also, it’s in the wrong topic. The definition for “Hosting Support” is “For any questions about InfinityFree hosting or running sites on here. Includes issues, bugs, errors, etc.” This topic is not about InfinityFree.)

Thanks

@BlantyreBotanicals, first i signup from a .tk domain. After it was approved I added my actual domain (.xyz) and this combination worked. Before it was rejected due to the NS issue. It takes about a week or more to fully pointed to byet.org (all countries)

In the future, please ask on iFastNet forums:

https://byet.net

Or use iFastNet support.
