Error Message

First of all, please don’t come at me if this issue is already being investigated or has already been solved. I know very little about technical issues or terms, and this site is just a writing project for my best friend and me.

That being said, I recently tried accessing the site, but it won’t load at all. It says the site can’t be reached, and Chrome gives me the error “DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN.” I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the announcement currently on the site, but I’ve only seen two other posts about the issue, both from over three days ago, and the announcement says the error was already solved. So I’m not sure whether this is an issue on my end or something else. Thanks in advance!

that being said, there are currently name server issues.

Name servers are now your browser locates the site. Think of them like helpful signposts on a walk that point your browser in the right direction for the server hosting your website.

Thats a very simplistic overview, but hopefully it helps explain it a bit.

Given that one of the 2 name servers is currently not responding, any requests that go through that name server, its like the signpost has been taken down, so your browser can’t find the sight.

This is why you see the DNS error.
