It says the website took too long to respond. Also i am unable to login to ftp.

I know its for security purpose but it delays site speed 56 in pageapeed insight in mobile view, while 97 on desktop view

I doubt the security check is what it taking a long time. It is probably the large amount of images and content on your site.
