I was testing a number of features on my website and realised my website has simply just stopped working. https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ shows that the site is down for only me. When I try connecting from my mobile wifi, it works fine, but always fails to load when connected to my home wifi.
Does this mean my IP address has been blocked?
Website domain is website.
If you have access to change your home wifi DNS servers, try manually changing it to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8. You are probably using your home ISP’s default DNS servers. I am assuming your mobile wifi and home wifi are two different ISPs? Try again if there is some success.
Thank you for your response @siglo_ph .
My mobile and WIFI are actually the same ISP however, I am unable to change the DNS servers from my modem. Are there any other troubleshooting methods I can try?
If you are using a Windows PC, type in the search taskbar “Network Connections“. It will open a window displaying your network adapters. Right click your active wifi adapter →click Properties → click Internet Protocol Version 4 →Properties → Manually set DNS server addresses → type 1.1.1.1 as primary, 8.8.8.8 as secondary, or vice-versa → OK.
(Optional) Disable, then enable again your wifi network adapter to refresh your settings. Type in cmd in the search taskbar. Type “ipconfig /all” in the console. Verify if you can find the entries you typed before in the DNS Servers, usually at the bottom part. Open your browser and try again the domain in question.
However, it is a little bit strange that the same ISP displays your site differently. It could be a DNS server is not yet updated? If the site has been online only for a few hours, maybe just give it a time.
Probably not. Some home network providers, block domains like yours. My website has .ct.ws, and is also blocked by my wifi provider. This is because these are free domains, therefore; more likely to be a scam website. Use a VPN, LTE, or whatever is easiest for you.
