My IP is blocked but how long?

Error Message

Since yesterday 12:00, my IP is blocked cause of wrong ajax reload procedure usage in a php page.

Ip blocking is quite normal to avoid DDOS but how long do I have to wait ?

Welcome to the forum :grin:

First are you sure your IP has been blocked? If so how do you know this?

If your IP has been blocked, then you either need to wait till your isp rotate out your IP (for mine, that only happens if I reboot my router), or for admin to come on and pass the request to IFastNet to unblock your IP.

Edit:
Check if you can access testing-ssl.rf.gd
If you can you’re not up blocked and something else is blocking your site. If you can’t, there are still other things that it could be, but an IP block is possible

If your IP address is blocked, it’s blocked for 24 hours.

Thanks for your reply dan3008 :-)I’m sure my IP is blocked cause I can reach my site everywhere except from my home.

I tried the suggested test on:testing-ssl.rf.gd

=> Le délai d’attente est dépassé

I also tried twice to shutdown and restart my routeur (wait 10 min before restart it)

=> but my IP didn’t changed

Thanks you for reply, it occured on monday before 12:00, I’m still black listed.
Maybe because I tried several times to access to my own site.

There are other things that could cause this problem.

  • your isp could be blocking the domain
  • you could have a firewall or virus scanner blocking the site

Admin can check an IP block but that’s not the only potential cause

yes it’s true, other things could cause this problem but I don’t think so, my ISP never block “almost safe” domain like infinityfree.
I really think that I’m blacklist for a while, I will wait without trying to reach for at least 24h and we will see

If you need to use your website right now try using a VPN. And people also sometimes host unsafe websites on infinityfree, and what ISP you using?

My IP is fixed for life :frowning:

If you’re 100% certain that nothing on your computer (like AVG virus scanner or a firewall), network or your isp are blocking the site, then you’ll need to wait for admin to be online again so he can double check if it’s an IP block.

FYI I’m still blocked 72 h later,

I have access to my control panel but not to the site hosted on gamer.gd domain

Block IP is the most used IP in my logging history

Just can say Belgacom or Proximus and just saying edits get saved so careful sending your ip!

I had it checked and your IP address was indeed blocked on our end. The block should be removed now and you should be able to access your website.

As to why the block wasn’t lifted after 24 hours, I have no idea. But I’ll try to figure that out.
