Welcome to the forum. To be clear this is a community forum, excluding admin none of us work for InfinityFree, and so can’t access your site files, or anything “server side”

If the files are genuinely gone there is no server side backup of your site, so there won’t be a way to restore them unless you have your own backup.

I’m not aware of any server side issues. If there are storage problems, they usually manifest themselves as all storage being unreachable, not specific files.

I don’t know which files went missing, I don’t when they went missing and I have no way to tell why they went missing. All I can tell you is that the files you have right now are the files that we have for your account, and there is no trash folder or backup feature we could use to bring back any lost files.

Hello Admin,

Thanks for Reply me.

[Another Observations as below]

I suspect the File Manager Move operation may be causing folders to disappear. I normally create folders in Home/root and move them into htdocs.

I have also observed that when a folder is moved to the same path/location, the folder disappears completely.

Could you please check the File Manager/server logs around 08/08/2026 to see whether my missing folders were affected by a similar Move operation and whether they can be recovered?

Thank you.

I didn’t think you could make files outside of htdocs.

I’d recommend creating the files on your own pc and then uploading them to the htdocs folder

That’s a very serious observation and is a bug that should be fixed. I tested it, and it seems that the file manager lets you move a folder into itself, which will cause it to be deleted. That’s a serious problem and I’ll report it upstream to be fixed.

However, while we can fix the bug and prevent more files from falling victim to this, it doesn’t mean that we can bring back files that have already been deleted. What I said before still applies: the files you see are the files we have, and I have no way to bring those back.

We try to take good care of your data and keep it safe, but technical issues can happen and they can result in data loss. The best way to protect against that is by having backups, but you are responsible for that on free hosting, we don’t have backups of your files.

You could now however make folders, I think this change was to remedy the problem where you accidentally deleted htdocs your account will be bricked.

This is a public forum. Whatever you post here is visible by everyone, and there’s a good reason the Admin have DMs off that is to prevent what you are trying to achieve here.
