MariaDB is still supported, it is not out-of-date. No, it’s not the latest version, but it still very much works.

  • MariaDB 10.4 – Community EOL planned for June 2024

You can always download an older version of the theme if the latest version requires a higher version.

I tried , nothing works. Older themes reflect with the newest Moodle framework.
