I’m trying to log back into my main InfinityFree account and it’s not letting me. I hadn’t manually logged out, I was working on trying to fix some issues I had and I still had what looked like a auto-generated username, I think. It had a letter at the beginning and a series of numbers.
My original issue was that when I created my site during initial setup, I had to change the nameservers to InfinityFree’s. That broke my GMail account that I had tied to them, and since I didn’t know that would happen, that was the account I used to set up my InfinityFree account.
I had gotten a notification saying that something was wrong and it gave me the opportunity to change the email address, which I did and changed it to my personal email account. Because I did this, it had logged me out.
Because this was my first time using everything and I was still in the process of trying to get initial setup working, I had not gotten to adjusting the username information. So, I’m stuck now. I have a tab with the file manager page still open, so I can theoretically update my website, but I can’t access the control panel or anything to be able to make changes outside of the html files.
I have a couple emails I had received that were for “verify email address” and the confirmation email for having changed mine, but neither of them have the username I need to access my account. I did not get around to setting up 2-factor identification yet or anything. If necessary, I can confirm the email account and the website domain tied to the account.
Who do I contact to get access to my account back?
EDIT: I somehow managed to find a way to get my username, and have managed to log back into my account. I have my information written down now to ensure I don’t lose it again. Is there a way to change my username to something that I can actually remember off the top of my head, or do I need to rely on having it written down?
