I have lost access to my old InfinityFree account because I no longer have access to the 2FA device. Unfortunately, I also didn’t save the backup codes.
The website is still working, but I am unable to log in to manage it. I tried to create a new account to continue hosting the same domain, but I get the error saying: “This domain is already in use on InfinityFree.”
I kindly request you to Remove themestudio.com.np from the old account so I can add it to my new InfinityFree account.
I can prove ownership of the domain if needed.
Thank you very much for your help.
Other Information
(other information and details relevant to your question)
I’m sorry to hear that you have lost access to your old InfinityFree Client Area account. Next time you enable 2FA on your account, please store the recovery codes somewhere where it can be retrieved, even if you reset your device.
The account that is hosting this site is still active, which means users are still visiting the site you have lost administrative access to.
Unfortunately, I am unable to help with domain recovery. However, @Admin might be able to help. You will have to wait for Admin’s response, though.
If you can prove the ownership of your domain name, then I can remove it from the current hosting account, so you can add it to a new account.
To prove you own the domain name, could you please change the nameservers from ns1.infinityfree.com and ns2.infinityfree.com to ns1.byet.org and ns2.byet.org? The nameservers are practically equivalent, but changing this setting is sufficient evidence that you own the domain name.
Once you have made the change, please reply here so I can check it and remove the domain.
