Looking for Free Forum Script / Open Source Forum Code

Hello everyone,

I am planning to build a forum website and I am currently hosting on InfinityFree. I would like to ask if anyone can recommend a good free forum script that works properly on InfinityFree hosting.

I am looking for something with basic features such as:

• User registration and login

• Admin and moderator roles

• Categories and subforums

• Thread and reply system

• Image and media upload support

• Basic security and moderation tools

If there are any open-source forum scripts that are compatible with InfinityFree (PHP + MySQL), please share the name or download link.

If someone has already built a working forum on InfinityFree and is willing to share the code or guide me, I would really appreciate it.

So basically Flarum which looks snappy and have all those features
Things like phpBB, myBB also works but these look pretty outdated

I reccomend looking in the script installer. There are some really good forums in there:

Personally, I like phpBB and Flatboard. but both are a bit dated in apperance.

Ive known people have look with bbPress on wordpress sites as well.

I would like to note that the Vanilla Forums listing isn’t Free Hosting compatible because it’s out-of-date and Vanilla’s parent Higher Logic stopped supporting it many moons ago.

several of them are out of date. but at least it gives you a warning in the script installer
