Logging in

I keep forgetting not to put the www in front of my website now since the change a few months ago not needing it. I still keep doing the www even though its been months later .

Did I read somewhere on the forum that you have to check in ever so often to your account to keep it active?

I wasnt sure if that was posting on the forum or if it was just logging into your account. Can anyone clarify this for me?

To keep your hosting account active, simply make sure it receives at least 5 hits per month. There’s no need to log in anywhere

It’s actually 5 hits per month, not per day. It’s been like this for years.

Officially, yes.

Unofficially, the actual enforcement was a bit more lenient until not that long ago. Both with more hits being counted than I think was reasonable, and with even one hit being sufficient to mark the account as active.

The consequence is that some older accounts that were considered active before were no longer being considered inactive. But that was because they really didn’t meet the activity requirements.
