ionCube should be installed on all accounts by default. Do you have any problems using it?

Oh, I though you were referring to the ionCube loaders (which allow you to run ionCube encrypted software), but I take it you’re referring to a decryptor (which turns ionCube encrypted code into regular PHP source code) instead?
ionCube decoders/decryptors are legally questionable. Software vendors generally encrypt their code to enforce license restrictions or protect other rights. They want to forbid people from tampering with the software, which is why they encrypt the source code. And it’s ionCube’s job to make decrypting it as hard as possible.
Whether it’s legal to decrypt the software is debatable, the definitions of “ownership” of software are best left to lawyers.
However, cracking the encryption is usually done for the purposes of breaking the license system and violate the terms of the software vendor. That, on the other hand, is clearly illegal, because it’s done to steal software.
So in short: please don’t try to crack ionCube encryption. It’s there for a reason.
